Chicken Farm 2K17 launched on December 5, 2017, with the solo developer (Jakal Studios) immediately patching bugs and adding content in the weeks that followed. The game received two meaningful content updates post-launch: the Ascension update on December 23, 2017 (a new progression system with golden eggs and permanent upgrades), and a second major update on February 8, 2018 adding five new chicken types and gold egg upgrades. The Premium DLC was released on December 14, 2017, and no unreleased DLC remains listed on the store.

Chicken Farm is a management game with clicker aspects, where the goal is getting as much cash as you can. To grow your farm you'll need to catch eggs from the chickens, work at the market to gain income, sell your fatter chickens for a tidy profit and cash in on the egg catching combo meter.
The further you progress the more fun the game becomes, with chickens gaining cool abilities allowing differing income strategies and interesting ways to play.
