Children of Silentown: Prologue is a free standalone prologue/demo released on November 25, 2020, designed to let players sample the full game. Its purpose was always promotional — to showcase the full Children of Silentown title ahead of its commercial release. The full game, Children of Silentown, launched on January 11, 2023. Following that release, the developers updated the Prologue on August 31, 2023 to reflect improvements that had flowed into the game during development — essentially a final polish pass to keep the free sampler current. There is no indication of any further planned updates to the Prologue. It serves a complete, defined purpose as a free preview of a finished game, and the developers have not communicated any additional content plans for it. The last developer communication was August 31, 2023.

Accompany Lucy and her friends in this grim, beautifully hand-drawn adventure game by the creators of Little Briar Rose, in collaboration with studio Luna2.

Lucy is afraid of the forest, just like any other child: every night, the echoing roars rob her of her sleep. Not even her dreams are a safe place where she could play.
