Chill Corner

Chill Corner launched as a free-to-play idle/relaxation game on December 17, 2021 and has received a steady stream of major content updates over the years: Update 2.0.0 on August 5, 2022 (social features, minigames, two new DLCs), Version 4.0.0 on October 9, 2024 (fish tanks, 96 fish species, new music album), and a Chill Corner × Ursid crossover update on June 24, 2025 (new character, two cozy rooms, music from Ursid). All eight listed DLCs have been released. The June 24, 2025 crossover update post explicitly stated: "a brand-new DLC for Chill Corner is coming soon." This is a developer commitment to additional content. However, as of October 1, 2026 — more than 15 months later — no new DLC has appeared on the store. In January 2026, the developer disclosed financial difficulty, noting that most games in their ecosystem generate insufficient revenue to cover server costs and that they had been using personal funds. A server migration was completed on February 10, 2026. While this was framed as a practical infrastructure move rather than a shutdown, it revealed meaningful financial pressure on the developer. The last developer communication of any kind was the February 2026 server migration completion notice, now over 7 months ago. The promised DLC has not appeared, no follow-up announcement has been made, and no new content has shipped since June 2025. Given the outstanding DLC promise, the financial pressures disclosed by the developer, and the extended silence following both, it is unclear whether the announced content is still being developed.
