Chrono Gear: Warden of Time launched on September 11, 2025 as a complete action platformer. Since launch, Team Chrono Gear has maintained an active patch cadence, shipping performance improvements, bug fixes, and gameplay refinements — most notably Version 1.1 on June 26, 2026, which added physics interpolation for high framerates and a new "Overclocked" difficulty mode. On September 12, 2026 — the game's one-year anniversary — the developer announced two meaningful additions coming to the Steam version: Spanish and Indonesian language support, and Mac compatibility. These are being delivered via Version 1.1.14, which is currently in beta testing and expected to move to the main branch shortly. The developer also announced that a Nintendo Switch port is now in development with the help of publisher holo Indie. These localizations and platform features constitute content still in progress for the Steam release. There are no paid DLC, expansions, or season passes listed or announced. The game remains a self-contained title, but the incoming language options and Mac support represent unshipped additions that the developer has committed to delivering to the Steam version.

About this game

You are Ouro Kronii, the Warden of Time. Your desire to become the strongest being in the universe led to the creation of the Chrono Gear, an artifact with the power to preserve timelines.

But where power lies, evil will seek to control it.

A fierce battle against the demonic Alter Laplus has shattered the Chrono Gear, scattering its Golden Gears across the stars. As Kronii, you must fight against the darkness that shattered your universe, find the Golden Gears, and repair the space-time continuum.

Chrono Gear: Warden of Time is a retro 2D action game that mixes speedy platforming and sword combat with explorable hub areas and a dramatic story.
