Churn Vector launched on January 11, 2024 and has been actively developed since. The developer has shipped three named major content updates post-launch: the Workshop Update on March 23, 2024 (Steam Workshop/modding support, new enemy, first-person mode, major physics overhaul), the Spring Update on May 4, 2024 (new Tower map, new Maned Wolf enemy), and a third major content update in 2024. Beyond those, the developer has released a steady stream of feature patches and bug fixes throughout 2024 and into 2025, with the most recent communication being a hotfix on September 18, 2025. The interval between major content drops has been roughly 1–6 months, and feature patches have appeared at least every few months. No specific future content has been announced, and the developer has not stated that development is complete. The game continues to receive active developer attention.
