Cine Tracer

Cine Tracer has been in Early Access since September 28, 2018 and remains there today — it has never reached a 1.0 release. The developer, Matt Workman, maintained a fairly active update cadence throughout 2022, shipping feature updates roughly every one to three months (adding MetaHumans, vehicles, clothing, animations, and an FBX importer). The last update posted was on April 21, 2023, which included a small map addition and a bug fix. In that same post, the developer informally mentioned that a new Unreal Engine 5 version of Cine Tracer is in development — and the current store page reinforces this by stating that purchasing this app will also grant access to Cine Tracer 2 for free, indicating a sequel is planned. However, no updates of any kind have been published since April 21, 2023 — a significant gap compared to the developer's previously active posting pattern. The original game remains unfinished (no 1.0 launch), the UE5 sequel has not shipped, and there has been no communication about the current state of either project. This combination of announced future plans and extended developer silence makes the outlook uncertain.
