Cities XXL launched on February 5, 2015 as a city-builder sequel in the Cities XL franchise. Following launch, Focus Entertainment released four patches between February and March 2015 addressing bugs, adding minor quality-of-life features, and improving the Steam Workshop modding tools. The only piece of post-launch paid content — a Map Editor — was released on October 30, 2015. No further updates, announcements, or developer communications have been made after that date. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no roadmap, and no developer statements about future content. The game launched as a packaged product and its brief post-launch support cycle concluded in late 2015.
