Climb The Backrooms launched on July 11, 2025 and has received a steady stream of updates since. Two major content drops have shipped post-launch: Update 1.1 on July 19, 2025 (new chase entities, 9 fully reworked maps), and Update 1.3 on May 2, 2026 (a brand-new Death Run game mode supporting up to 10 players, 2 new maps, and a public server browser). In between, the developer shipped feature updates adding a cosmetics system, proximity voice chat, first-person hands, overhauled sound effects, and a reworked Level 29 (Update 1.2 on September 8, 2025), along with multiple bug fix and stability patches. The most recent developer communication was a promotional post on May 27, 2026 noting the game's participation in a Backrooms-themed sale. The gap between Update 1.1 (July 2025) and Update 1.3 (May 2026) is roughly 9-10 months, and as of June 18, 2026 only about 6-7 weeks have passed since the last major update — well within the established update window. The developer has not announced that content development is concluding.
