Evaluation

Concerto on White: Cajon Story launched on December 25, 2025 and has maintained a consistent and active post-launch content cadence. Since release, the developer has shipped 7 paid music pack DLCs — the most recent being the Marimbeira Music Pack on September 24, 2026 — and numerous significant free updates: Chinese New Year content on February 10, 2026 (new music and instruments); a PYKAMIA collaboration character and songs in January 2026; a major v1.2 update on March 27, 2026 adding Steam Workshop, a new instrument (Taiko), and more music; a new character and song via a rhythm game collaboration on April 15, 2026; four new free playable pieces on April 23, 2026; and two new collaboration tracks added to the free Touhou DLC on September 24, 2026. The September 24, 2026 news post explicitly describes the Marimbeira Music Pack as one of "the last 3 DLCs" and announces a bundle containing the base game and all DLCs — which could suggest the current DLC slate is complete. However, that same post announces a mobile version of the game is "coming soon," and introduces an entirely new game (Concerto on White: Bass Hero) from the same developer. The developer has not explicitly stated that free content updates or patches are finished, and the ongoing free track additions to existing DLCs and free content updates suggest the game continues to receive content beyond the paid DLC lineup. The overall pattern — major content shipping roughly every one to six weeks from January through September 2026 — reflects a game that remains in active development.
Evidence
Developer announces the 'last 3 DLCs' (Artbook, Soundtrack, Marimbeira Music Pack) are now available, along with a bundle of all content. Mobile version announced as 'coming soon.' New game Concerto on White: Bass Hero also announced.

About this game

Join us on Discord!

Rhythm + Rich Story & Characters. You play as a new student in Concordia Academy of Music, facing a crisis on your first day joining the Cajon Club.

Here you can play all kinds of music: Jazz, Rock, EDM, Classic, Country, Flamenco - Name your genres!

In addition to the story mode and free play mode, players can also engage in personal one-on-one conversations with their partners, deepening their bond while learning about music. They may visit the academy’s arcade to play mini-games, redeem gifts for their partners at the store, or enjoy quiet reading in the library with short articles about music.

Three Unique Features

  • Boss Fight: Music Duel
Boss fights are reimagined as live music showdowns. Use your ears to dissect the opponent's patterns, then replicate and dominate the groove. (Music school veterans will recognize this twist on audition-style rhythm dictation!)

  • Co-op Jamming
Up to 4 players can jam together locally. Not mirrored charts, but a true ensemble with separate instrumental parts.

  • Play with a Real Cajon
Crush beats using actual acoustic cajons. Works with most standard cajons right out of the box.
