Evaluation
Rhythm Doctor left Early Access with its 1.0 release on December 6, 2025, which completed Story Mode with Act 6 and the finale. The developer said on March 10, 2026 that Story Mode is finished, but that standalone levels and smaller updates would keep coming through the year. A Beatblock collaboration level and a standalone version of the Rhythm Weightlifter minigame followed on April 23, 2026, and the Rhythm Doctor Soundtrack was released on June 16, 2026. The most recent update on October 7, 2026 shipped version 1.2.0 with Level Editor additions and said the team is still working on some small additions to the game, with nothing announced yet. Because the developer keeps saying more work is in progress, the game is not yet considered finished.

Rhythm Doctor is a rhythm game in a world where defibrillating patients' hearts in sync with their heartbeats has healing properties. Slam your spacebar in perfect time on the 7th beat, and they might just come out okay. But beware - every patient has unique illnesses based on complex music theory: polyrhythms, hemiolas, irregular time signatures...if you don't know what they mean, don't worry. Rhythm Doctor is designed to make you learn music and rhythm theory without even realising it!
(Note: 2P mode only works locally. Online 2P via Remote Play is enabled for this game, but it does not work that well right now due to varying latency)
