Counter Terrorist Agency launched on December 5, 2019. In the days and weeks following launch, the developer (Play2Chill) was highly active — shipping multiple patches, soliciting community feedback, and publishing a post-launch roadmap on December 4, 2019 that promised new game modes (a "big scenario mode" with 6 scenarios across January–February 2020), leaderboards, Steam Workshop support, and a mobile version.
However, the developer's post-launch activity dropped off sharply and quickly. The last recorded news post for this game is the February 12, 2020 feature patch (Update 1.0.6), which added a reworked case file UI and new music. Notably, a May 2020 post (NEWS-4) turned out to be an announcement for a different game entirely — Cyber Ops — not new content for Counter Terrorist Agency.
The promised roadmap items (big scenario mode, open mode, leaderboards, Steam Workshop, mobile version) were never confirmed as shipped, and the developer has made no further communications about this game since February 12, 2020. With over six years of silence since that final update, and no subsequent announcements or DLC releases of any kind, the game's development appears to have concluded with the February 12, 2020 patch. The studio shifted focus to other projects (Cyber Ops). None of the DLC listed on the store are marked unreleased.

GAMEPLAY
Counter Terrorist Agency is a combination of real-time strategy and manager/simulation game. In CTA your task will be to manage the most modern organization, fight international terrorism, and prevent attacks all over the world. Use modern invigilation techniques, discover connections, listen to suspicious phone calls, read private conversations, interrogate suspects, eliminate threats and dismantle terrorist networks.KEY FEATURES
Test your patience. Will you be able to perceive a potential threat based on scraps of information? And react according to the situation. Too early - you might have scare suspects and other unknown members of the suspicious network. However, wait a little bit longer, get more Intel, and risk a sudden attack.
Listen to realistic phone calls and decide who should be taken under investigation. Be careful though cause people are innocent till proven guilty.
Read and analyze captured suspicious emails, SMS, web talks etc. Having your base on keywords, content and context, decide, react...or not. Assault on privacy?
As a head of the agency, sometimes you will be forced to make moral decisions. Will you be able to sacrifice what it takes to prevent the final attack? Do not let yourself to be caught between the devil and the deep-blue sea.
Upgrade your intel and strike units with experience points. Gain new useful abilities to become even more effective.
Your prevent and strike power depend on the resources you manage. The more you have, the stronger you are. Earn points by successful actions, spend them on additional swat or drone units. Be prepared.
Lone wolf... or a whole pack? Getting rid of one suspect might not be enough. Analyze network connections between groups of people. Who is going to throw a punch first? Who is just an average criminal? Who will be the attacker? Decide.
So the time has come. It's your move. You are ready to step in and take action. Choose whether you need to kill or arrest the suspect. Swat, police, drones. Take a proper response to a threat.
