Evaluation

Crisis in the Kremlin launched on March 20, 2017 and received two DLC expansions over its post-launch life: "The Accident" (August 22, 2017) and "Homeland of the Revolution" (March 24, 2020), both of which have shipped. The developer posted a feature patch alongside the Homeland of the Revolution DLC in March 2020, noting at the time that "the next update will be major" — however, that promise appears to have been superseded by the studio's pivot to a full sequel. In November 2023, the developer announced "Crisis in the Kremlin: The Cold War" — an entirely separate game described as an "ideological successor" to this title. A demo for the sequel launched in May 2024, and the sequel itself released on July 11, 2025. One small feature patch for this base game was posted in August 2024, suggesting minor maintenance continued alongside the sequel's development. Importantly, all news posts referencing future "major updates" for this game predate the sequel's announcement. The developer's energy and public communication since late 2023 has been entirely focused on the new standalone game. Both DLCs are released, no unreleased DLC exists in the store listing, and the developer has not announced any additional content for this title. The game appears to have reached the end of its content lifecycle, with the March 2020 DLC representing the last major content release.
