Cryptis

Cryptis launched on January 11, 2024 as a free-to-play retro boomer shooter. The developer shipped several patches in the months following launch, including a notable Update 1.2 on April 5, 2024 that added new enemies, music, weapons, and map updates. By mid-2024, the developer explicitly shifted focus to their next game. A July 17, 2024 patch note stated that "Cryptis updates are pretty slow" because the next game was in development. The developer then announced and released Harbinger on October 3, 2024, a new free boomer shooter. By December 2024, the developer was already promoting a demo for yet another new game ("Undertaker"). There are no unreleased DLC entries, no announced future content for Cryptis, and no developer communications about returning to it after launching Harbinger. The developer's public attention has fully moved on to subsequent projects. The last meaningful content update to Cryptis was Update 1.2 on April 5, 2024, after which the developer explicitly communicated that Cryptis updates would slow down. The game shipped as a complete, free product and received its final substantive update in April 2024.
