CRYSTAR launched on August 27, 2019 as a complete action RPG. All 23 DLC items — consisting of costume packs, outfit collections, and a full soundtrack — have been released, with the last item being the Sakuzyo Complete Soundtrack released on December 5, 2024. The developer's news history shows only a single major post at launch (August 28, 2019), one bug fix patch (October 28, 2019), and a handful of sales and DLC merchandise announcements. There have been no developer communications about future content, no unreleased DLC on the store, and no roadmaps or expansion announcements at any point. The release of a "Complete Soundtrack" in December 2024 further suggests the game's content lifecycle has concluded. CRYSTAR appears to have been a self-contained game that shipped with all its planned content and a defined set of cosmetic DLC, all of which have now been delivered.

Confront the Torments before they overwhelm you by spending time in your room reading a book and petting your dog. Whatever you do, don't dry your eyes. You'll need your tears to summon your Guardian and overcome the true villians of Purgatory!
