Evaluation
Cubico is a complete, finished game. It launched on August 14, 2019 and received post-launch updates: a soundtrack overhaul and DLC release in December 2019, a technical fix and community map preparation in April 2021, and finally a community map feature in November 2021. That November 7, 2021 update represents the last known developer communication and the last substantive addition to the game. The developer has made no announcements of upcoming content, no roadmaps, and no statements about future plans. There is only one DLC — the soundtrack, released on December 4, 2019 — and it has fully shipped. With no outstanding commitments, no pattern of ongoing major content releases, and no developer communication since November 2021, the game appears to have reached its finished state. The store description presents the game as a complete experience with no mention of additional content or updates in development.

About this game
Cubico is a jump’n’roll computer game which takes the player on a journey through a playful world filled with geometrical objects. However, not everything seems to belong into this world. The player can reshape and extrude some of the objects and put them to good use. You’ll experience a journey with various challenges. The game demands skill and logical reasoning in a place with brash colors and shapes straight out of the 80s. The game is accompanied by electronic synth notes, which carry you down memory lane. Suddenly you’ll find yourself in the world of colorful walkmans and friendly macintoshes.
