Cute Bite launched on August 31, 2021 as a complete visual novel / stat-raising sim. Prior to launch, the developer stated on July 18, 2021 that all planned art was finished and the roadmap was 100% complete, with remaining work being optional character plotlines and ending variations. Following launch, the developer shipped two feature patches in September 2021 adding new ending variants and quality-of-life fixes — the last of these (version 1.3) shipped on September 12, 2021. Since then, the only updates have been annual Halloween event patches that toggle a seasonal encounter and achievement, the most recent of which was posted on October 24, 2024. There is no post-launch cadence of major content releases, no announced DLC, no unreleased content on the store listing, and no developer roadmap pointing to future additions. The November 2025 news post from Hanako Games announces a separate game (Galaxy Princess Zorana) rather than any new content for Cute Bite. The game launched as a finished product and has received only minor seasonal maintenance since September 2021.
