Dandara: Trials of Fear Edition

Dandara originally launched on February 6, 2018 as a gravity-bending metroidvania platformer. Over the following two years, the developer released several patches adding quality-of-life improvements, level design overhauls, difficulty rebalancing, and new gameplay options. On March 5, 2020, Long Hat House released "Dandara: Trials of Fear Edition" — a substantial free update to all existing owners that added 3 new areas, a new boss, new powers and mechanics, new music, a new secret ending, expanded lore with new dialogues and cutscenes, and a new mouse and keyboard control scheme. The game's current title on Steam reflects this expanded edition. The store description explicitly markets this as "Trials of Fear Edition," describing the full scope of added content as a complete package. No unreleased DLC exists — the only DLC listed is the soundtrack, which was released on launch day in 2018. There have been no developer posts announcing further content, roadmaps, or expansion plans after the Trials of Fear Edition launched. The last developer communication of any kind was the March 5, 2020 launch announcement for the Trials of Fear Edition itself. This is a complete, definitive package. Someone waiting for all content can consider the game fully done as of March 5, 2020.
