Dandy Ace launched on March 25, 2021 and received a steady stream of post-launch support. The developer shipped two major content drops: a feature patch in April 2021 (card balancing, movement improvements, Steam trading cards), another in May 2021 (Mac support, dash rework, optimization), and then a free DLC update in September 2021 (NEWS-3) that added 10 new magical cards and 5 new trinkets. That September 2021 update represents the only named major content addition after launch.
Following that, the game went quiet for several years. The developer returned in May 2025 (NEWS-2) with a quality-of-life patch (v1.3.0.0.08) focused on improving the early-game experience — giving players a potion from the start, preventing blueprint loss on death, and unlocking Nnif-tar from the beginning. This patch noted that "more balancing changes will come in future updates," hinting at continued attention. However, the September 2025 post (NEWS-1) was a minor bug fix removing an unobtainable achievement, with no mention of future content plans.

Dandy Ace is an over the top fast-paced roguelike experience that follows a fabulous magician seeking to combine and use his magical cards while fighting and looting his way to defeat the Green-Eyed Illusionist, Lele, who has imprisoned him in a cursed mirror. While battling your way through Lele’s ever changing palace, combine different cards with more than a thousand possibilities, each with their own playstyles and powers. Every run provides new challenges and combinations for players to explore as they progress closer to Lele.
Play as Dandy Ace, the amazing hero, and survive the challenges of the extravagant, lavish and ever changing palace created to defeat him filled with bizarre creatures and outrageous bosses. Find all of the magical cards, gather shards and gold, and get help from his assistants and unconventional allies.
