Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor launched into full 1.0 release on September 17, 2025. Since then, Funday Games has maintained an active development cadence with regular patches and major content. On November 12, 2025, the developer published a devlog outlining upcoming features — specifically mid-run saving and the much-requested Endless Mode. A substantial feature patch shipped on December 15, 2025 introducing mid-game saves and significant balance improvements. The biggest post-launch release came on April 30, 2026: the paid Heavy Duty Expansion (DLC-1), which added a brand-new Demolisher class with its own vehicle and 11 weapons, the Egg Hunt mission type, and the Glacial Strata frozen biome. Alongside it, a free 1.1 update delivered the long-awaited Endless Mode, mastery rewards, and an expanded tag system. The expansion had been teased via a series of announcement posts throughout March and April 2026. Following the expansion launch, the developer continued active post-launch support with a hotfix on May 1, 2026, a feature patch on May 27, 2026, and another balance/bug-fix patch on June 22, 2026 — the most recent communication as of today's date (August 19, 2026). That's approximately two months of silence since the last patch, which is consistent with the team's historical pattern between major content releases. All three listed DLC items are released. The developer has not announced any upcoming DLC or future content by name, but they have also made no statement indicating development is complete or that no further content is planned. Given the strong and consistent post-launch update cadence — including a major paid expansion less than four months ago — and the absence of any "final update" communication, the game remains in active development.
