Deformed

Deformed launched on June 6, 2024 and received a sustained run of post-launch updates: a major content update in December 2024 adding four new boss fights, new weapons, and side quests; a feature patch in March 2025 adding controller support and language options; a small content update in October 2025 adding music and a new jumpscare; and a released Supporter Pack DLC in March 2025. Throughout this period the developer also teased plans for a procedural survival mode and expanded sewer content. However, on January 6, 2026, the developer posted a clear statement about Deformed's future [NEWS-2]: a disk failure caused significant data loss and was described as demotivating. The developer stated that further updates to Deformed are "probably not" coming, citing months of required rework and the game's low revenue. They explicitly said it was "a good time to move on." This was confirmed by a follow-up post on June 8, 2026 [NEWS-1], where the developer reaffirmed they are now focused on a remake/sequel project and a separate new game ("Spirit of the Dome"), and explicitly stated the remake "won't be out for a long time." The June 2026 post also reiterates they do not intend to update the existing Deformed release further, preferring to "keep that as the horror fighting game" while the remake becomes its own separate product. The developer's own words mark January 6, 2026 as the effective end of content development for the current Deformed release. All previously announced future content (procedural mode, expanded sewer) was folded into or abandoned in favor of the unreleased remake. No unreleased DLC exists on the store. The game shipped as a complete experience and the developer has since moved on.
