Evaluation
Despotism 3k launched on November 8, 2018 and received post-launch content updates: a feature patch adding the "chip" mechanic on December 20, 2018, followed by the second campaign on March 25, 2019. That second campaign appears to be the last substantive content addition to the game. The developer's next major communication — on February 3, 2021 — revealed they had shifted focus to an entirely new game, Despot's Game. A further post on August 4, 2022 announced Despot's Game's 1.0 release and used it as an occasion to give away Despotism 3k for free, explicitly acknowledging there had been no news about Despotism 3k for a long time. No future content for Despotism 3k has ever been announced or hinted at. The only DLC is a soundtrack released in November 2018, and no unreleased DLC exists on the store. The developer's full attention has clearly moved to their follow-up title. Despotism 3k launched as a complete product and concluded its content additions with the second campaign in March 2019.
Evidence

About this game
Humanity is enslaved by an AI… which is awesome, because we’re on the right side of the conflict. Exploit puny humans to extract power and build your own empire! You’ll have to keep track of them to make sure they don’t succumb to exhaustion and hunger… although the weakest ones can always be thrown to the Bioreactor.
In other words, this is a resource management sim with rogue-lite elements, dramatic plot, and an abundance of pop culture references. Also, jokes. Slaughter has never been so fun!

Key features
- Humor as dark as your ex’s heart. Immerse yourself in the life of a merciless tyrant!!
- Resource management on steroids. Think fast, to the point, and abandon pity!
- Rogue-lite. Every walkthrough is unique due to randomly generated events. And every failure is fatal — you’ll have to start over!
- Easy to learn, hard to master. It only takes a couple minutes to figure out the game’s mechanics, but using them optimally is no small feat!
