Evaluation

DESYNC launched on February 28, 2017 and received a steady stream of patches throughout its first couple of years. The developer (The Foregone Syndicate) shipped ten numbered patches between launch and August 11, 2019, progressively improving performance, accessibility, balance, and adding smaller features like controller support and new attack sequences. The only DLC ever listed — two soundtrack volumes — both released on March 3, 2017, and there are no unreleased DLC entries on the store. The most recent developer communication of any kind was Patch #10 on August 11, 2019. Since that date — nearly seven years ago as of June 2026 — there have been no further posts, announcements, or updates from the studio. The store description describes a complete, self-contained single-player game with no mention of future content, seasons, or expansions. There is no roadmap, no announced DLC, and no developer statement indicating further content is planned. The patch history shows that by Patch #9 (October 2018) and Patch #10 (August 2019), updates had slowed dramatically from the frequent early post-launch cadence. Patch #10, which delivered the long-promised controller support, reads as a natural conclusion to the post-launch support cycle. With no communication since August 2019 and no outstanding commitments visible anywhere, the game is best understood as a complete, finished product.
Evidence
Patch #10 released, delivering the long-awaited controller support along with balance changes and performance improvements. This is the last known developer communication.
