Double Dragon: Neon launched on Steam on February 6, 2014 as a complete, self-contained beat 'em up — a reimagining of the classic arcade game with no post-launch content plans announced. Shortly after launch, WayForward addressed a wave of technical issues: they announced a patch on February 20, 2014 and shipped it on February 27, 2014, fixing online co-op lag, boss fight crashes, display problems, and control bugs. The only other developer communication on record is a Windows 10 crash fix posted on August 8, 2016. Neither of these updates added new content; both were purely maintenance patches. There are no DLC listings, no roadmaps, no season passes, and no announcements of future content at any point in the game's history. The developer has been silent since August 8, 2016. The game shipped as a finished product and has received only compatibility and stability maintenance since launch.
