Evaluation

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection launched on August 30, 2022 as a curated package of thirteen classic TMNT games. The developer, Digital Eclipse, shipped two post-launch feature patches: the first on December 21, 2022 adding online multiplayer enhancements, and the second on April 4, 2023 adding online play to TMNT III: The Manhattan Project along with additional archival artwork. The December 2022 patch noted that "future patches will add online play to more iconic TMNT titles," and the April 2023 patch fulfilled that commitment by extending online play to Manhattan Project. No further patch announcements or content commitments have been made since April 4, 2023. On March 14, 2024, Konami posted a notice that the Japan regional version would be discontinued for sale on March 29, 2024, while confirming that online play would remain available and existing owners could still re-download the game. This is the most recent developer communication on record. The collection has no unreleased DLC listed on the store, no announced future content, and no ongoing update cadence following the completion of the online play rollout. The game shipped as a fixed content package and appears to have concluded its post-launch support cycle.
