Downward Spiral: Horus Station launched on May 31, 2018 as a complete, self-contained zero-gravity sci-fi thriller. The developer released one post-launch bug fix patch on June 12, 2018, and then posted a behind-the-scenes update on July 13, 2018 mentioning work on a PS4 console version — but there has been no communication from 3rd Eye Studios since that July 2018 post. No DLC was ever listed, no expansion was announced, and no roadmap or future content was ever communicated. The store description presents the game as a finished product with a defined feature set (single-player campaign, co-op, PvP and PvE multiplayer modes, and VR support). With no post-launch content pattern, no outstanding commitments, and nearly eight years of silence since the last developer communication, the game launched as a complete package and has remained so.

Downward Spiral: Horus Station takes players through a lost vessel abandoned by its crew with a complete focus on visual storytelling for single player or two player online co-op. Players will have to piece together the plot through observation and interpretation as they navigate the derelict space station's environmental storytelling, accompanied by the electronic ambient soundtrack composed by platinum selling HIM frontman Ville Valo.
Solving the mystery of the space station will require the player to choose to engage or explore. In engage mode eliminate threats using the ship's maintenance hardware - like bolt throwers, thrusters, rail guns, grappling magnet and arc welders. In explore mode the stations threats will no longer be hostile, leaving the puzzles and atmosphere to find the truth of why Horus Station has been left drifting in space. In addition to Horus Station’s story campaign, there’s eight-player PvP and PvE multiplayer modes including Deathmatch and Horde.
Downward Spiral: Horus Station is also playable in stunning virtual reality for HTC Vive, Oculus Touch, Oculus Gamepad and Windows Mixed Reality for unparalleled immersion.
