The most notable was the "ULTRABASED 1.0" patch on January 4, 2024, which added 5 new locations, 5 new bosses, 10 new items, 49 achievements, 10 character skins, and more — one of the largest updates in the game's history. The developer also promoted a September 27, 2023 post hinting that "a giant update for Dr. Livesey is on the way," which was plausibly fulfilled by the January 2024 patch. On November 27, 2024, the developer posted that they had undergone a "MAD redesign" and promised that "in 2025 you will have a very unexpected and pleasant release" for this game. This is a clear developer commitment to additional content. However, as of June 21, 2026 — roughly 19 months after that announcement — no such release has appeared, and there have been no further developer communications about this game. The promised 2025 content window has passed without delivery or explanation, which raises genuine uncertainty about whether that planned content is still coming.
