Evaluation

Dread Templar was developed by a solo developer over three years and left Early Access on January 26, 2023, launching its full version with two new episodes (10 additional levels), new bosses, over 20 new enemy types, new weapons, and a total of 100+ upgrade options. This 1.0 launch represented the completion of the content roadmap the developer had been building toward throughout Early Access. Since the full launch, post-release activity has been limited to maintenance: a bug fix patch on February 6, 2023 addressed minor issues, and on February 13, 2025, Steam trading cards, backgrounds, and badges were added as community items. Neither of these constitutes new game content. There are no unreleased DLC listings, no announced expansions, no developer roadmap pointing to future content, and no post-launch major content updates. The developer has not communicated any plans for additional content. The game launched as a complete, self-contained experience and has received no substantive content additions since its 1.0 release date. The game is a finished product.
