Dreamland

Dreamland is an adult visual novel being developed in chapters by a solo developer (Dokiden). The game is currently in Early Access on Steam. The developer publicly confirmed in an April 2023 post that the full story will conclude with Chapter 5. So far, three of those five chapters have been released as paid DLC: Chapter 2 launched on April 5, 2024, and Chapter 3 launched on November 19, 2025. The most recent developer communication was a May 14, 2026 patch that expanded the game to macOS — showing the developer remains actively engaged with the project. At the time of Chapter 3's launch, the developer acknowledged they cannot give an exact window for Chapter 4 but committed to releasing it as quickly as possible. Chapters 4 and 5 are therefore unfinished but confirmed as part of the game's planned story. The gap between Chapter 2 (April 2024) and Chapter 3 (November 2025) was approximately 19 months. Development is handled by a single developer working part-time, which accounts for the longer intervals between releases. Despite the pace, the developer has maintained communication throughout the project — posting progress updates before each chapter — and there is no indication of any development problems or break in commitment.
