Dreamscaper: Prologue is a free demo for the main Dreamscaper game. On February 10, 2021, Afterburner Studios announced they would be delisting the Prologue from the Steam store the following week (by February 17, 2021), citing the difficulty of maintaining both the Prologue and the main game as a three-person team, and noting that the Prologue no longer accurately represented the full game's experience. The store listing confirms this — there are no purchase options available. Players who already had the Prologue in their library before the delisting date were told they could keep it, but it is no longer available to new users. The Prologue served its purpose as a demo and was formally retired once the main game launched into Early Access and eventually reached its 1.0 release on August 5, 2021.
