Drizzlepath: Genie launched on February 22, 2016 as a self-contained walking simulator. The developer shipped a series of post-launch patches through mid-2016, culminating in version 1.4.0 on June 10, 2016, which added a bonus "Ride the Dragon" mode and various polish improvements. A further quality-of-life patch arrived on May 8, 2021 increasing movement speeds. No new content has been added to the game since then, and no future content for this title has ever been announced. The developer has since moved on to other projects — including a spiritual recreation of this game called "GENIE" (announced May 7, 2023), a new entry in the Drizzlepath series called Drizzlepath: Picturae (released November 7, 2024), and additional upcoming titles — all of which are separate games, not updates to Drizzlepath: Genie. The game launched as a complete, finite experience and has received no content additions since June 2016 beyond the 2021 movement speed patch.

Evidence
