Evaluation
Bottle is a short atmospheric walking game that launched on April 21, 2016 and received only minor patches in the months following release — a quality-of-life update on June 9, 2016 and a bridge glitch fix on July 8, 2016. No DLC was ever announced or released for the game itself.
Since those early patches, the developer has moved on entirely to new projects. Posts on the Bottle store page have been used to announce the developer's other games: Nephise (March 2017), Bottle: Pilgrim (October 2017), Finding the Soul Orb (February 2020), Chionophile (October 2020), a full recreation of Bottle as a separate Steam game (May 2023), Purpose 1951 (March 2024), and most recently The Promise Tree of Alden (November 2025). None of these announcements indicate any new content coming to the original Bottle game.
Notably, in May 2023 the developer announced a complete ground-up recreation of Bottle as an entirely separate game on Steam, which reinforces that the original 2016 release is considered a finished, standalone product. The developer has been consistently active making new games, but the original Bottle has received no updates since July 2016. This game launched as a complete short-form experience and has remained unchanged since its final patch nearly a decade ago.
Evidence
Developer announced a full recreation of Bottle as a separate Steam game, built from scratch based on player feedback. This confirms the original 2016 release is treated as a finished product rather than one to be updated.
Final patch (v1.0.4) fixing a bridge glitch — the last update ever made to the original Bottle game.

About this game
Bottle is a short game which you play as a man of solitude. It is about the mood of melancholy in the winter nature. In the game as you walk through the path, you see the visions of a woman and read the notes she leaves to you. But sometimes you need to do some things and figure out how to reach her. Additionally in the game you can do a few exploration if you prefer. There are some things to be found away from the path.
As you progress, you hear some nice piano tunes as well as the sound of the soft wind. Also the sound of shrubs moving and some animals. Those are things that make the game more atmospheric.
The game is sometimes mystical, sometimes funny, sometimes scary but mostly relaxing.
After you complete the game, another mode called "Noir" is unlocked and with it you play generally the same game but with another atmospheric black & white filter and it is night time. Also in Noir mode there are some surprising differences.
Note: The orbs you collect in game give you temporary speed boost.
PS: The core aspect of this game is the atmosphere. It is recommended for those who mostly seek to experience the mood.
