DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS

DYNASTY WARRIORS: ORIGINS launched on January 16, 2025 and has received consistent post-launch support. The developer shipped one major paid DLC — "Visions of Four Heroes" — on January 22, 2026, which added new story content focused on four unsung heroes (Zhang Jiao, Dong Zhuo, Yuan Shao, and Lu Bu). This was announced in August 2025 as part of the Dynasty Warriors 25th Anniversary Project and given a specific release date in September 2025. All three DLC items listed on the store are marked as released. Between launch and the major DLC, the game received a steady stream of feature patches adding quality-of-life improvements, new weapons, outfits, and gameplay adjustments. Following the January 2026 DLC launch, patches addressed bugs introduced by that content, with the most recent developer communication on February 17, 2026 adding a new horse and fixing minor bugs. The developer has made no announcements of additional content beyond what has already shipped. The August 2025 anniversary announcement mentioned a large-scale DLC (now released) and a remastered version of a separate series title — but nothing specifically pointing to further new content for Origins. With all listed DLC released, no outstanding commitments from the developer, and no communication since February 17, 2026 suggesting more content is in development, the game appears to have concluded its planned content cycle with the January 22, 2026 DLC release.
