Einlanzer released on March 1, 2017 and received a healthy stream of post-launch updates through its early years: balance patches in May and July 2017, a new third ending in March 2018, a new Duos Colosseum wing in January 2019, and a substantial "Evil" update adding a new side quest, boss, and weapon in January 2020. That January 2020 update appears to be the last meaningful content addition to the game itself.
By September 2018, the developer had already signaled a shift in focus, noting that the planned "Einlanzer Stories" $.99 DLC expansions would be put on hold while work on a new game ("Diaspora," later called Divided Reigns) was underway. That DLC was never released. A February 2021 post announced beta testing for Divided Reigns, and an April 2025 post announced a closed beta for yet another new game, JRoguePG — confirming the developer has moved on to other projects entirely.
The store description mentions "more being added regularly" and "regular calendar events," but these appear to be legacy copy from the game's active update period. No content has shipped since January 2020, the promised "Einlanzer Stories" DLC was explicitly shelved, and the developer's attention has been on entirely new titles for years. The only released DLC is the soundtrack (released March 2, 2017). With no outstanding commitments, no unreleased DLC, no post-January 2020 content updates, and the developer clearly focused elsewhere, Einlanzer is a complete game.
