Evaluation
Emergency Call 112 – The Fire Fighting Simulation 2 launched on March 18, 2021 and has received two paid DLC expansions: "Freiwillige Feuerwehr" (Volunteer Fire Department) on September 1, 2022, and "WLF – Das Wechselladerfahrzeug" (The Swap Body Vehicle) on October 1, 2024. Both DLC entries are released and accounted for, with no unreleased DLC listed on the store.
The developer's attention has clearly shifted away from this title toward new products. On April 20, 2026, Crenetic announced Emergency Call – The Firefighting Simulation 3 (a full sequel) with a wishlist page on Steam. On April 27, 2026, the developer also promoted a separate new game, "Global Rescue," going into Early Access. Neither of these announcements referenced any new content coming to Firefighting Simulation 2.
The last meaningful update to this game was a bug-fix patch on October 25, 2024 (NEWS-10), issued shortly after the second DLC launched. Prior to that, the December 2023 patch (NEWS-9) noted that the team was "already working on new content and improvements" — but the content that was delivered was the second DLC (released October 2024), which plausibly fulfills that statement. No further content promises have been made for this game after October 2024.
With both DLC expansions shipped, no unreleased DLC on the store, no announced future content for this title, and the developer now publicly focused on a sequel and a new game, the game appears to be complete as of the second DLC's release on October 1, 2024.
