Evaluation

EVEREST VR launched on August 2, 2016 as a self-contained VR experience. The developer, Sólfar Studios, subsequently delivered two free major content updates: a second update on February 14, 2017 that added the Lhotse Face segment, expanded God Mode with scale controls, and added historical photographic material; and "The Seeker Expedition" on November 14, 2017, a narrative documentary collaboration with Seeker incorporating 360 video footage, audio guides, and scientific content about Everest. The November 2017 post is the last substantive developer communication on record. No further content updates, roadmaps, DLC listings, or developer statements have been issued since that date. There are no unreleased DLC entries on the store, and the store description describes the product as a fixed set of five scenes plus God Mode — consistent with a finished experiential package. The game appears to have reached its final content state with the November 2017 Seeker Expedition update.
