Rock Life: The Rock Simulator

Rock Life: The Rock Simulator launched on July 20, 2022 and has been receiving a consistent stream of free content updates ever since. The developer shipped a major 2.0 overhaul in September 2023, followed by a string of updates adding new game modes (Rock Tactics in May 2024), pets, controller support, a VR overhaul, new maps, and new rocks. The three paid Rock Pack DLCs (released September 2023, January 2024, and May 2024) are all available. Most recently, the developer shipped three major updates in quick succession: Update 2.8 on March 26, 2026 (3 new maps and 2 new rocks), Update 2.8.2 on April 16, 2026 (a new free rock), and Update 2.8.3 on May 31, 2026 (another new free rock). Across 36 developer posts since launch — including 8 tagged as major content releases — the game has maintained a clearly sustained update cadence. The developer has not announced the end of development or indicated that updates will cease.
