Pyroworks is a free-to-play fireworks simulation game that launched on September 8, 2023. Since launch, the developer (a solo/small studio) has maintained a consistent stream of updates, regularly expanding the fireworks catalog and adding new features. Major content updates arrived in March 2024 (Version 1.2.0), July 2024 (Version 1.2.2), December 2024 (Version 1.2.3), January 2025 (localization and tutorial update), and most recently Version 1.3.0 on August 15, 2026. That latest release is one of the largest updates yet, delivering roughly 2x performance improvements, a new firing system music synchronization feature, a new map (gm_fork), improved water splashes, faster save/load, and a broad array of other changes. It was followed by two additional patch releases on August 16, 2026. The previous evaluation flagged concern about a gap in communications between January 2025 and mid-2026, but Version 1.3.0 resolves that — the developer returned with a substantial update. The developer noted in March 2024 that Patreon support would mean "more updates in the future," and the continued release history bears that out. No statement ending development has been made.
