Evaluation
Everything launched on April 21, 2017, and received a handful of bug fix and feature patches in the days immediately following release (Linux support, windowed mode, controller support, etc.). In February 2018, the developer teased upcoming updates for international players and hinted at an "offshoot project," but nothing specific was announced. The most recent meaningful update was on February 19, 2020, when a full Japanese localization was added alongside color correction improvements — this was the last developer communication of any kind. Since then, over six years have passed with no news posts, patches, or announcements of any kind.
The game's sole DLC is the original soundtrack, which was released on launch day. There are no unreleased DLC listings on the store. The store description describes the game as a self-contained interactive experience with no mention of future content, seasons, or expansions. The developer has not made any post-launch statement about future plans since the 2018 teaser, which was never followed up on publicly (and, given the subsequent silence, appears to have not materialized). The February 2020 Japanese localization update represents the last meaningful development activity, and there is no indication of further updates to come. Everything is best understood as a finished, self-contained work.
Evidence
Full Japanese localization added alongside color correction improvements. This is the last official communication from the developer.

About this game
Everything is an interactive experience where every object in the Universe is a playable character - from animals to planets to galaxies and beyond. Travel between outer and inner space, and explore a vast, interconnected universe of things without enforced goals, scores, or tasks to complete. Everything is a procedural, AI-driven simulation of the systems of nature, seen from the points of view of everything in the Universe.
