Evil Maze launched on June 17, 2016 and has received three paid DLC packs over its lifetime: the Game Gallery DLC (July 29, 2016), the Horror Forest DLC (March 2, 2017), and The Enemy of Abyss (June 5, 2020), which was released as a fourth-anniversary commemorative expansion adding 10 new levels. An uncensored patch bundling earlier gallery content was also released in December 2018. All four DLC items listed on the store have shipped. The most recent developer communication was the launch announcement for The Enemy of Abyss on May 31, 2020. There have been no developer posts, roadmaps, announcements, or unreleased DLC entries since that date. The game's three major content releases were spaced roughly 9 months (Horror Forest, March 2017) and then over three years (Enemy of Abyss, June 2020) apart — not a regular cadence that would suggest further updates are forthcoming. The developer also launched a sequel, Evil Maze 2, in March 2019, which is a common signal that the original game's development cycle has wound down. With no outstanding commitments, no unreleased DLC, and no developer communication since June 2020, the original game appears to have concluded its content cycle with the anniversary DLC release.
