Kagura Survivors: Endless Night

Kagura Survivors: Endless Night entered Steam Early Access on March 31, 2023 and remains in Early Access as of October 1, 2026. The game has not yet reached its promised 1.0 release. The last major developer activity came in late November and December 2024. On November 24, 2024, the developer pushed a major overhaul to the default branch — adding new enemies, a reworked ability system, redesigned stages, a character visual upgrade, and expanded achievements — while explicitly referencing "the inevitable 1.0 release on the horizon." Three days later, on November 27, 2024, the developer announced the first paid DLC, "Kagura Survivors x Summer Memories," a collaboration featuring three new playable characters and a new map. This DLC is still listed on Steam as unreleased with no release date. A hotfix followed on December 19-20, 2024, and that is the last known communication from the developer. Since December 20, 2024, there have been no further news posts, patches, or public updates. The game had maintained a reasonably consistent stream of activity from launch through December 2024, making this extended silence — now stretching past September 2026 — a notable break from established patterns. With an unreleased DLC still listed on the store, a 1.0 launch outstanding, and no developer communication since December 20, 2024, it is unclear whether development is continuing as planned.
