Zengeon launched officially on June 24, 2019, following a beta period. After launch, the developer released five free swimwear cosmetic DLC packs between September and October 2019. A December 23, 2019 post mentioned that new game systems and major gameplay improvements were in development, indicating active work at that time. A console port to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch was announced on May 20, 2020. The last recorded developer communication was a bug fix update on March 20, 2020, which explicitly noted that "new content is still being developed" while delivering maintenance patches. All five DLC items listed on the store have been released. No further updates, announcements, or developer posts have appeared since March 20, 2020 — a gap of over six years with no communication. The console announcement in May 2020 is the final news item, and no content roadmap, expansion, or future update has been announced since. With no unreleased DLC, no outstanding commitments, and a developer silence stretching back to early 2020, the game is considered complete.
