F1® 2020 is no longer available for purchase on Steam — the store listing has no purchase options, meaning the game has been removed from sale. This is consistent with Codemasters' practice of delisting older entries in the annual F1 series as newer titles replace them.
The game launched on July 9–10, 2020 and received a series of patches and updates throughout its active lifespan. The final major content addition was the free F2™ 2020 season update, released on December 9, 2020, which added all the 2020 Formula 2 teams, cars, and drivers. After that, Codemasters continued to issue bug-fix patches through March 22, 2021 (Patch 1.17), and by April 2021 they were already announcing F1® 2021 as the successor title, which launched on July 16, 2021. No further content updates for F1® 2020 were communicated after that point. The game's content was complete as of the December 9, 2020 F2™ update, which fulfilled the promise made at launch to add the 2020 F2™ season as a free update later in the year.
