Factory Engineer launched on March 20, 2017 after a period of pre-release development. At launch, the developer stated that "releasing does not mean the end of updates or no more content" — signaling intent to continue. However, the post-launch update history tells a different story: the only post-launch developer communications are a bug fix patch (V 1.0.2 on November 28, 2017) and, years later on October 16, 2025, an announcement for the developer's entirely separate next game, Apocalypse Factory. That 2025 post makes no mention of any future content for Factory Engineer — it is purely a promotion for a new project. There are no unreleased DLC entries, no roadmap, no subsequent feature updates, and no developer statements about ongoing content for this game. The last substantive work done on Factory Engineer was the November 28, 2017 bug fix release. The developer has since moved on to new projects, and Factory Engineer has received no updates of any kind since that date.
