Evaluation

Final Days is a solo-developed co-op twin-stick shooter that left Early Access and fully launched on September 18, 2018. After launch, the developer (Mike, working alone at +7 Software) shipped two notable post-launch updates: Steam Workshop support in December 2018 (v1.1), and a substantial content update in June 2019 (v1.2) that added two new campaigns, new enemy types, new maps, and new game mode variants. Those two updates represent the extent of the post-launch major content cycle. Since June 2019, the only updates have been a minor bot AI feature patch in April 2023 and a small CPU/crash fix in April 2024 — maintenance-level work, not new content. The developer noted in the April 2023 post that he is "very busy these days" with limited spare time, consistent with a solo developer who has moved on to other work while keeping the game maintained. No future content has been announced, no unreleased DLC exists, and no roadmap is active. The v1.2 update in June 2019 is the last point at which meaningful new content shipped, making that the practical completion date for the game's content.

About this game

Humanity is on the brink. Mutant hordes are closing in — and survival means fighting together.

Hold the line. Or get overrun.

Final Days is a fast-paced co-op twin-stick shooter where you and your team battle overwhelming waves of zombie-like mutants — often hundreds at a time. Hold chokepoints, cover each other, and unleash a storm of gunfire and explosions as the pressure builds.

Fight back against overwhelming hordes — with hundreds of enemies on screen at once.

Tear through relentless hordes, switch between powerful ammo types, and use explosives to control the swarm before it overruns you. Every run is a desperate push to survive — whether you're chasing high scores or simply trying to make it through the next wave.

Control the chaos — or be consumed by it.

Play solo or jump into co-op with up to 16 players online, LAN, or local split-screen. Add bots to fill your squad, experiment with different strategies, and see how long your team can hold the line.
