Fishing Grind launched into Early Access on October 31, 2024 and has been actively developed ever since. LAGI Games has shipped a consistent stream of updates across the past year and a half, including major content additions like the Yellowstone map (December 2024), ice fishing and the North Dakota map (April 2025), emotes and localization (July 2025), the Arizona map with story content (April 2026), new fishing mechanics and a female skin (June 2026), and most recently version 0.3.13 on August 12, 2026 — just one week before today's assessment. That latest update reworked the Market map, added four new language supports, new keybind options, and multiple bug fixes. The developer has been consistently transparent about the game's unfinished state. In December 2024, they converted a planned paid ice fishing DLC into a free update, explaining the game "still needs a lot of work." In January 2025, they released a cosmetic Supporter Pack while explicitly noting they don't feel the game is ready for paid DLC. In June 2026, alongside announcing their new game Sushi Courier, they teased an upcoming Fishing Grind update — which arrived as version 0.3.13 on August 12, 2026. The game remains in Early Access with no announced 1.0 release date. The developer is clearly still actively building out the game with new maps, systems, and content.

Hop on the Fishing Grind.

Fishing Grind is a Coop/Singleplayer experience where you and up to five friends can fish in the various environments of the North American wilderness. Most of the locations you visit are relatively safe, but some places have threats. Bears, sharks, and even other humans that will test the limits of your strength. How far will you go to get just one more catch?

GAMEPLAY

Partake in riveting and innovative fishing gameplay. Start your journey with almost nothing and steadily build up your collection of rods, lures, and hooks! Realism can be fun in some games, but when working on Fishing Grind our team found that a less "realistic" approach turned out to be more fun. This creative choice also allowed for us to simplify some mechanics; these decisions will hopefully make the game easier to pick up for new players while still keeping veteran players invested!

Fishing by yourself can get pretty lonely, so Fishing Grind supports six player lobbies!
