Five Nights at Freddy's 4 launched on July 23, 2015 as the stated final chapter of the original FNaF story. Scott Cawthon followed up with a free Halloween content update on October 31, 2015 (version 1.1), which added challenge modes, a cheat menu, and a special non-canon Halloween Edition with cosmetic character swaps — all delivered as promised.
The developer was explicit on multiple occasions that the FNaF story was finished. In a September 15, 2015 post, Scott stated directly: "There will NOT be a Five Nights at Freddy's 5. The story is complete." The store description reinforces this, calling FNaF 4 "the last chapter of the Five Nights at Freddy's original story." The subsequent developer activity — FNaF World, a spin-off RPG — was a separate game, not additional content for FNaF 4.
All announced content for FNaF 4 was delivered by October 31, 2015. No further updates, DLC, or content were announced for the game after that date. The game has been complete since the Halloween update shipped.

Playing as a child whose role is yet unknown, you must safeguard yourself until 6am by watching the doors, as well as warding off unwanted creatures that may venture into your closet or onto the bed behind you.
You have only a flashlight to protect yourself. It will scare away things that may be creeping at the far end of the hallways, but be careful, and listen. If something has crept too close, then shining lights in its eyes will be your end.
