Evaluation

Freedom Planet launched on July 21, 2014 and has received a substantial amount of post-launch content over the years. The developer's roadmap included adding Adventure modes for Milla and Torque as playable characters. Milla's Adventure Mode shipped on February 24, 2016, and Torque was introduced via a beta branch in late 2015. A notable language update adding Spanish, French, German, Japanese, and Korean shipped on August 30, 2018 — the last significant update on record. A 2015 announcement mentioned "Spade" as a future DLC character planned for "sometime next year," but no subsequent release or developer communication about Spade was ever published. Given the years of silence since then and the shift of GalaxyTrail's focus to the sequel — Freedom Planet 2, which was announced via Greenlight in February 2017 — it is reasonable to conclude that Spade's DLC was quietly shelved. The developer's attention clearly moved to Freedom Planet 2, which has since launched as its own separate game. The only DLC listed on the store is the Official Soundtrack, which was released in August 2014. There are no unreleased DLC entries. The last developer communication of any kind was the language update on August 30, 2018. No developer posts since then have announced new content, a roadmap, or ongoing development for Freedom Planet 1. GalaxyTrail has not indicated further plans for this title, and Freedom Planet 2 has been the studio's focus for years. The game is best understood as a complete, finished product.

As Lilac, you can use Dragon powers to whip enemies with your hair, spin like a cyclone, or fly through the air at high speed like a comet.
As Carol, you can bust through foes with a flurry of punches and kicks or summon motorcycles that let you ride up walls and ceilings.
