Taimumari originally launched on December 16, 2015. On December 8, 2020, to mark the game's five-year anniversary, the developer (TERNOX) upgraded it to the "Definitive Edition" — bringing over enhanced graphics from console versions and folding in the previously separate Kanashimi mode DLC at no extra cost. The game's title itself reflects this: it is now called "Taimumari: Definitive Edition." The Kanashimi mode, which had been the game's major post-launch content addition (released December 13, 2018), is now included in the base package. All listed DLC (the soundtrack) is released. The developer's December 2020 post focused on Taimumari 2 as the future of the franchise, not any further updates to this game. Subsequent developer news posts are about entirely separate projects (other games the developer is working on or publishing). There is no indication of any further content planned for this edition of the game.

Plot
Somewhere in the sky, far away from the ground, another world floats - a fantasy world named Zaria. Citizens of Zaria had to watch the flow of time, but when the ancient crystal fell into the hands of evil, the flow of time was distorted. Kanashimi the High Keeperess sends young wizard Himari to the difficult quest of finding everyone guilty of destroying crystal.But why does not everyone bother about Zaria's origins, and what is this place all about? May you succeed in solving the mystery of this world.
Go forth to various ages on your uneasy adventure to find the five keepers and to reclaim the power!
