On January 12, 2023, Blue Wizard Digital announced that they were unable to renew the Friday the 13th license and were required to remove the game from all storefronts. The game was delisted on January 23, 2023. This is confirmed by the current store data, which shows no purchase options available. The developer explicitly stated that existing owners would retain access to their purchased content, but no new purchases would be possible. A subsequent bug fix patch was issued on October 7, 2025 to address a Unity Engine security vulnerability, indicating the developer still maintains the game for existing owners, but this does not affect its delisted status. Blue Wizard Digital has since moved on to other projects, releasing Slayaway Camp 2 in November 2024. No further content for Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle has been announced or is expected, given the expired license.
