Frog Legs launched on May 19, 2025 as a short (~40 minute), self-contained single-player horror-action game. The developer issued several bug fix patches and a feature update (version 1.3, November 11, 2025) that corrected various issues and introduced new 2D stage artwork. That November 11, 2025 update also announced that Frog Legs is coming to consoles, stating "FROG LEGS IS COMING TO CONSOLES NEXT YEAR!!!" The 2D artwork was specifically replaced to avoid copyright concerns ahead of the console launch. This was an explicit, developer-confirmed announcement of a planned release. As of October 1, 2026 — nearly a full year after the announcement — the developer has not published any further news, updates, or statements about the console version. The "next year" (2026) window referenced in that post is nearly over, and there has been no word on whether the port has shipped, been delayed, or was cancelled. The last official communication from the developer remains the November 11, 2025 post.
